All of the former "New Generation Silver Crown" chassis that raced in 2006 and 2007 will be supported in the Gold Crown Championship. The chassis and running gear used in the Gold Crown cars will be exactly the same as all the parts that were used at the end of the last season when the cars raced at Phoenix in November 2007.
Ashmore Design (formally C&R chassis) These cars were originally designed by Bruce Ashmore and Chris Paulsen at C&R. They were raced as C&R cars in the "New Generation Sliver Crown" series. These cars will all be updated to the Gold Crown specification and will race under the Ashmore Design name. Several new cars are in stock, ready to go, and can be purchased from Bruce at Ashmore Design.
Devin Race Cars These cars were built at DRC, Devin Race Cars, by Joe Devin. This car won the "New Generation Sliver Crown" championship both years in the hands of Bud Keading and BK Motorsports. All of the existing cars can be updated to the Gold Crown spec. Joe would like to sell more cars and will be supporting his customers.
Riley Technologies Bob Riley was responsible for the concept of this race series chassis. The Riley is a very sound car and several owners of these cars ran at every "New Generation Sliver Crown" race. Chief Engineer on the project is Ron McMahon. Ron has been to every Gold Crown redevelopment meeting in Indianapolis. Riley has a couple of new cars in stock along with several sets of crash attenuators. Riley would like to sell more cars and will also be supporting their existing customers.
Rock Chassis (formally Stealth) Rodney Weesner has purchased all the assets and tooling that was originally Stealth. The car is being developed to a new competitive level. Rodney will be updating all the existing cars along with building new cars in Gold Crown spec.
